This is a series of five small sculptural vases inspired from the Japanese technique Kurinuki, developed by hand-building process. Process begins with making clay blocks and making them hollow from the centre by scooping. After carving out the clay gave the texture from some collected wooden pieces.This is also wood fired.
Earthy tones and raw textures that celebrate the beauty of imperfection.
